• An interdisciplinary seminar about IPR was held at Uka Tarsadia University on 31st Jan 2015 as a part of UTU interdisciplinary lecture series. The speaker, Ms. Avani Kasture, (PGDIPR, Patent Agent IN/PA/2361) of CGBIBT conducted the session where students from various faculty of UTU participated. During the session, the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in the present technological scenario and the procedure for patenting the novel findings were discussed in detail.

  Four scientists namely Shri R. P. Dubey, Shri K. L. N. Sastry, Shri N. S. Mehta, Dr. G. SandhyaKiran from Indian Society of Geomatics, Ahemdabad and Baroda Chapter delivered talks on different aspect of remote sensing.

  Prof. Dr. R. Krishnamurthy, Director CGBIBT welcomed the speakers and Prof. Rajashekhar Ingalhalli introduced them to the audience and Ms. UrjitaSheth conducted the program; Apart from the staff members and students of CGBIBT, other faculty members also attended.

  The interactive session was very interesting and many students evinced interest and got their doubtscleared by asking questions to the respective speaker.
